Eid-el-Fitr: Kogi Special Adviser on Labour Felicitates Gov Ododo, Workers, Urges Prayers for Govt
The Special Adviser to the Kogi State Governor on Labour Matters, Comrade Onuh Edoka, has called on Muslims to reflect on the spiritual lessons of the just-concluded Ramadan as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitr.
In his Sallah message, Edoka described the holy month of Ramadan as a period marked by self-discipline, sober reflection, and reconciliation with Allah and fellow human beings. He urged the Muslim Ummah to sustain these virtues beyond the fasting period in order to strengthen their relationship with Allah and promote harmonious coexistence.
The Special Adviser congratulated Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, members of the State Executive Council, organised labour, and Muslims across the state on the successful completion of Ramadan.
He also called for continued prayers for the success of the present administration at all levels of government.
Edoka further encouraged Muslims to use the festive period to demonstrate love, unity, and compassion, noting that these values are essential for sustainable growth and development.
“It is important to reflect on the essence of this celebration, which underscores the supremacy of love and the fear of Allah among people, regardless of tribe, religion, or political affiliation. The lessons of Ramadan must be fully embraced, as Muslims are expected to uphold unity, love, and obedience to Allah’s commandments,” he stated.
