Eid El Fitri: Kogi Deputy Speaker facilitates with Muslim Ummah, call for prayers for the State and Nation
As Muslims all over the world mark Eid-el-Fitr, the Deputy Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed has congratulated Muslims all over, particularly faithfuls in Kogi State for the successful Ramadan fast and Salatul Eid El Fitri, while he admonished them to offer prayers for country and state.
He noted that in such a time when the world was being ravaged by Corona virus and other threats to human life, Muslim faithfuls should see this as an opportunity to offer earnest prayers for the preservation of humanity.
Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed enjoined that the act of generosity and charity particularly to the less privileged, vulnerable, orphans should be undertaken by Muslims as this would go a long way to offer succor to those in these categories.
He restated the need for simple personal hygiene and adherence to precautionary measures in order not to go contrary to the NCDC and WHO guidelines of social distancing as they celebrate.
While congratulating the Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello and his Deputy Edward Onoja over the victory at the tribunal, he assures his constituents of that the State Government would continue to explore the needed avenue to ensure that the people were not left to their fate in this period and beyond in the wake of the current global realities.
