EID-EL-KABIR: Rashida Bello greets Nigerians, calls for peaceful coexistence

Muslim faithful have been called upon to imbibe the virtues of the holy Prophet Mohammed by living peacefully with fellow countrymen and women irrespective of ethnic and religious differences in order to build a prosperous and united Nigeria.

The first Lady and wife of the Governor of Kogi State, Mrs Rashida Yahaya Bello gave the charge in a special Sallah message signed by Her Senior Special Assistant, Mr Victor Okee in commemoration of this years Eid-El-Kabir festival.

Mrs Bello noted that Islam is a religion of peace and love which are key ingredients in the development and progress of any nation and further stressed the need for peaceful coexistence regardless of the various challenges confronting the society.

According to the statement, citizens of the State are enjoined to ensure all hands are on deck individually and collectively by being vigilant and prayerful towards sustaining the prevailing peace, security and progress in the State.

“May the Eid renew in us the spirit of peace, love and harmonious Co-Existences,” she concludes.
