Eid: Mrs Onoja felicitates with Muslims

…says occasion offers opportunity for more prayers

As Muslims across the world mark the 2020 Eid-el-Fitr, Wife of the Kogi State Deputy Governor, Mrs Ejura Mercy Onoja has expressed her warm greetings and called for more prayers for Nigeria.

The Wife of Kogi State Deputy Governor, in her felicitation message to the people issued on Sunday in Abuja said: “Eid-el-Fitr which offers Muslim brothers and sisters the opportunity to deepen their relationship with Allah, should be used more in this period to promote a life of sacrifice, charity and love as exemplified by Prophet Mohammed and also pray more for the eradication of the novel coronavirus.”

She appealed to “all Muslim faithful to continue to support Governor Bello’s vision to build a prosperous state where all Kogi people and residents would realise their dreams, through the various socio-economic growth initiatives.”

Mrs Onoja who enjoined the people to use the occasion to make individual sacrifices for the betterment of the nation and the greater good of humanity, emphasised on the need for mothers to continue to ensure the hygiene of their children and wards.

Speaking further, Wife of the Deputy Governor as a mother also called on the people to continue to maintain the prevailing peaceful atmosphere which has engendered harmony among the various religious groups in the state.”
