Eid-el-Kabir: Gov. Ododo Expresses Commitment to Delivering Good Governance

  • Says Kogi not a fertile land for criminality

Kogi state Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo has expressed his commitment to delivering good governance by ensuring that his administration do what is right by the citizens of the state and most especially it’s workers.

The Governor made this known on Sunday while addressing the press after praying at the Checkpoint Eid ground, where he also mentioned that his government was willing to ensure productivity in its work force by taking adequate care of their welfare.

While talking on security, governor Ododo reiterated that Kogi was not a fertile ground for criminals and act of criminality to thrive recalling that those who recently came to test the waters in the recent kidnap of 31 students of Confluence University of Science and Technology ( CUSTECH ) had a bitter taste.

According to him, his government’s resolve is to continue to work in synergy with all the security stakeholders in the state in a bid to achieve its security plans.

He reminded the people that Salah is a season that embodies sacrifice and compassion while he urged Kogi people to remember the less privileged in the society and extend their arm of fellowship and benevolence to them as the celebration go on. He also mentioned that the season also teaches submission to the will of the almighty, calling on the people of the state to continue to be good ambassadors.

While the governor appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his support and help which has spurred some of his government’s achievements, he added that his several efforts were already yielding results.

Governor Ododo said that he on his own part has urged the people of Kogi state to key into the programs of Mr. President so that there would be a joint collaborative efforts to pull ourselves from the clog of economic hardship currently faced with.

He urged the people to continue to pray for our leaders especially Mr. President as he is doing alot to ensure he delivers on his mandate.
