EMT Foundation, Kogi Youth Commissioner Commence Medical Outreach in Olamaboro

Ogene Igah in Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State is currently hosting a three-day medical outreach organized by the EMT Foundation in collaboration with the Kogi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Honourable Monday Aridaojo Anyebe, kicked off yesterday and has already witnessed a massive turnout of beneficiaries.
The outreach aims to provide free medical care to residents of Olamaboro and neighboring communities, addressing critical health needs and promoting wellness among the population. Services offered include medical consultations, free medication, health screenings, and sensitization on preventive healthcare measures.
Speaking during the launch, Hon. Monday Anyebe expressed gratitude to the EMT Foundation for its partnership in ensuring the success of the program. He emphasized the government’s commitment to improving healthcare access in rural areas, noting that the outreach aligns with Governor Yahaya Bello’s vision for grassroots development.

“Health is wealth, and this initiative is a testament to our dedication to the well-being of our people, particularly those in underserved communities. We are thrilled by the overwhelming turnout and are optimistic about the lasting impact this outreach will have,” he said.
Participants expressed appreciation for the initiative, with many commending the organizers for bringing healthcare services closer to the people. A beneficiary, Mrs. Agnes Amodu, lauded the effort, saying, “This outreach is a blessing. I received medication for my child and got my blood pressure checked for the first time.”

The EMT Foundation, known for its philanthropic activities, reaffirmed its commitment to community development. A representative of the foundation stated that the initiative was borne out of a desire to improve the health and quality of life for Kogi residents.
The outreach which is already in its second day is expected to end tomorrow, with organizers encouraging more residents to take advantage of the free medical services.
