Enough of the Lies: Natasha Akpoti’s Desperate Antics Must Be Exposed

By Ozovehe Michael
In recent weeks, the people of Kogi Central Senatorial District have witnessed a series of dramatic accusations, staged narratives, and emotional manipulation from one who should be a symbol of decorum and maturity, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan. But rather than offering leadership, she has chosen to incite, deceive, and distract.
Her latest outburst, accusing respected leaders such as the Senate President, Sen. Godswill Akpabio; former Governor Yahaya Bello; and the current Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, of plotting her assassination, is not only baseless but disgracefully malicious.
During her recent homecoming, Senator Natasha defied a state directive against public gatherings due to genuine security concerns. Instead of cooperating with the authorities for peace, she descended from the skies in a helicopter and hosted a two-day political jamboree. Yet, in the face of her provocations, the Kogi State Government demonstrated uncommon maturity by ensuring peace and safety. Is that the action of a government or leaders plotting against her life?
Rather than acknowledging this gesture of tolerance and maturity, Natasha twisted the narrative, claiming that these same leaders who protected her while she flouted state orders sponsored an attack on her family home. The contradiction is glaring. How can individuals who made efforts to shield her from harm be accused of the very violence they prevented?
This is not the first time Senator Natasha has made sensational claims without evidence. Following her homecoming rally, the Senate President petitioned the Inspector General of Police over her defamatory remarks. Likewise, former Governor Yahaya Bello demanded that she present evidence for her allegations within 14 days or retract them with an apology. But instead of defending her claims with proof, she escalates the drama, whipping up sentiments and peddling fear.
These are not the actions of a leader who seeks peace. These are the desperate antics of someone who wants to incite division and exploit public emotions for personal gain.
The people of Kogi Central and Nigerians at large are not fools. We can now see through the fog of deception. We know that true leadership is not built on propaganda and baseless accusations but on truth, integrity, and service. Natasha’s attempt to manipulate public opinion and shift attention from her own misdeeds is a tired playbook. It has been used before, and it will fail again.
The good people of Kogi Central Senatorial District must remain calm and united. We must not fall for the dangerous theatrics of someone who would rather fan the flames of chaos than build the bridges of peace. Demand evidence. Demand accountability. Let truth, not emotion, guide our judgment.
We are wiser now. We will not be misled.
