‘Football matches are decided in two halves,” says Kogi SSG, Ayoade, as she canvasses support for Governor Bello’s second term bid
Every football match has both first and second half of forty-five minutes each, and results of the first half does not determine the outcome of the encounter until the final whistle is sounded by the referee.
This was the prism the Secretary to Kogi State Government, Folashade Ayoade looked at the second term bid of Governor Yahaya Bello in the November Gubernatorial election in an interview with our reporter at her country home of Ife Olukotun during her rich medical outreach which saw people of the area troup out to benefit.
The outreach was through her Non Governmental Organisation, the Folashade Ayoade Initiative for Widows and Orphans (FAIWO) and was flagged off in the community with the aim of extending it to other surrounding communities and other parts of the Senatorial District in the nearest future.
She called on the people of her community and the state in general to give Governor Bello the opportunity to complete his second term in office in view of the determination he has shown to bring positive development to the state in all aspects of human endeavour.
The SSG, who used the opportunity to thank the Governor for giving her the opportunity to serve the state, said he used his office to assist her in retracing her foundation, which is in Kogi State, despite having lived all her life in the south western part of the country.
She said Governor “deserves to be allowed to play for the full duration, which is eight years. The first four years stands for the first half,” saying that the outreach was part of efforts to energize the people by making them medically fit to come out and cast their ballots for the Governor’s return in November.
Mrs Ayoade praised the manner which the Governor allowed God to use him to reconnect with her source, noting that no one could truly flourish in life if they were cut off from their source, saying she was back home where she truly belonged.
Beneficiaries of the gesture all applauded the SSG for her passion to dry the tears of the needy, and pledged their commitment to supporting her in all her endeavours.
They promised to back the candidature of Alhaji Yahaya Bello and vote him massively in November gubernatorial election in the state.
