Gov Bello 46th birthday aftermath; Onoja, Folashade lead State exco on Thanksgiving to appreciate God in Gov’t House Chapel
Barely 48 hours after the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello celebrated his 46th Birthday Anniversary, Christian Kogi State Government appointees have held a Thanksgiving at the Government House Chapel to appreciate the Almighty for the success of the celebration.
Speaking after at the occasion, the Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja who led other appointees on the occasion, said it was necessary for the Almighty God loves those who give gratitude for what he did for them.
He said the Governor is a destiny’s child whose story and life is dotted with the handwriting of the greatness of God since childhood until his current age, noting that such feat deserved appreciation.
“It is in the character of God that whoever appreciates what he has done for them, he would have no option than to do more for such persons. So, to appreciate God for an exemplary life our Governor has lived and what God has in stock for him in the future is just right.
“In Christendom, to give appreciation is just to remind God Almighty that you are not unaware of the good things he did in your life. If you don’t appreciate you will surely deprecate. There is no doubt about that. We want our leader, our Governor and my Siamese twin to have more and more reasons to celebrate because that is the promise of God for a show of appreciation for whatever favours he does for human beings.”
Chief Onoja used the occasion to re – echo reasons why many have realized that Governor was the real deal was because of the way he tackled the issue of covid19 and insecurity which is different from what obtained in other parts of the country and the reality that is beginning to stare people in the face.
Speaking in the same trajectory, the Secretary to the State Government, Dr (Mrs) Arike Ayoade Folashade; the State Security Adviser, Navy Commander Jerry Omodara (Rtd); the State Commissioner for Transportation, Hon Baron Okoli and his counterpart in the ministry of Agriculture, Elder David Apeh all expressed gratitude to God for the life of the Governor and thanked for the manner he has been piloting the affairs of the state.
They prayed the Almighty God to grant him necessary wisdom and good health to pilot the affairs while also praying that Almighty make him achieve his heart’s desires.
Speakers at the occasion – clergies, including the Chaplain of the Stage Government House Chapel, Pastor Asarapo all prayed for the divine guidance and upliftment for the state and the country at large.
