Gov. Bello advocates stronger marriage institution to engender societal peace, reduce menace
Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has advocated strongly for Solid marriage institutions in order to engender society’s peace and reduce drastically menace caused by prevailing divorce and separations in the society.
The Governor made this known while attending the Launching of the “Marriage Academy & Certified Premarital Master Class” founded by Mrs Maryam Lemu. Which held on Sunday at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
Governor Bello emphasized the need for premarital counselling and de-emphasized the desire of some couples who go into marriages for instant gratification noting that marriage is a life-long union that both husband and wife must protect.
While commending the Founder of the Marriage Academy, Governor Bello who was accompanied by His Chief of staff, Abdulkareem Asuku Jamiu and other top aides said the consequences of failed marriages do not only affect the couple but parents and society at large has their fair shares of the ugly incidence.
He however expressed optimism that the Marriage Academy will go a long way in reducing the Menace of early marriage and the prevalence of divorce marriages in society.
