Gov. Bello attends 8th-day fidau prayer for late Abdullahi Sule Ukwaja in Idah
Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, on Thursday, attended the Eighth-Day Fidau Prayer for the Late Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Elders Advisory Council, Baba Alh. Abdullahi Suleiman Ukwaja, held at Idah LGA of the State.
He was represented at the prayers session by his Deputy, Chief (Dr.) Edward Onoja (CIK), who conveyed the Governor’s commiserations with the Ukwaja Family, the APC, and the entire people of Idah Community over the loss.
He said until his death, the Ukwaja Patriarch lived a memorable and celebratory life, traced to the invaluable roles the deceased played when he sought out to serve the People of Kogi State as Governor.
He espoused that the Late Suleiman Ukwaja was a Community Leader, Strategist, and Peacemaker who became a reference point for assuaging internal crises whenever they erupted amongst stakeholders of the APC in Idah.
Chief Onoja noted the Late Ukwaja Patriarch lived a sacrificial life, exemplified through quality statesmanship, inspiring leadership, and practical mentorship to the emerging generation, saying he will be greatly missed.
Whilst praying that Allah grants the deceased Al Jannah Firdaus, he encouraged the APC Family in Idah to uphold his legacies of fervent pursuit for love, unity, and communal living, for the benefit of the younger generations.
Present at the prayers session was the Idah LGA Chairman, Hon. Abuh Odoma, and other APC chieftains, KSHA members, government functionaries, the Chairman, Secretary, and Executives of the JNI. Others were friends, relatives, and political associates of the deceased.
