Gov Bello Donates Bus to OOPL-Chapel of Christ in Abeokuta

• Eulogises Former President Obasanjo; says he has Nigeria at heart

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has donated a Toyota Hiace Bus to the Chapel of Christ the Glorious King in the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta, Ogun State to aid its activities.

State Deputy Governor, Chief (Dr.) Edward Onoja who presented the vehicle on behalf of Governor Bello said it was in fulfillment of a pledge made by the Governor upon briefing him on his last visit to the Chapel during its 10th Harvest Thanksgiving in November last year.

He said former President Obasanjo has distinguished himself in the chain of African Leaders, espousing his contributions to nation-building, and quest to work with God in the area of spiritual development of others. He prayed God to sustain him with greater wisdom and strength to continue his good works for Nigeria and Africa. He also continues, “as long as Nigeria’s history is concerned the former President remain the longest serving as Head of the Nigerian government for 12 years, and has seen it all from war front to Prison and seat of power. With leadership experience within Africa and globally.

God must have preserved him this long so the world should learn from his insight. He needs to keep counseling to help in making the world a better place” he said.

Presenting the car keys to the Chaplain, Rev. Dr. Femi Olajide, he recalled how Governor Bello broke a 28-year jinx by building a befitting Kogi Government House Chapel for Christian worship.

The clergymen and congregation prayed for Governor Bello and Chief Onoja, asking God to strengthen their bond, engrace them to accomplish their desires, and open vistas of opportunities for them to grow in higher capacities.
