Gov. Bello urge youths to be ambassadors of peace
Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello have urged youths in the state and beyond to be ambassadors of peace, while they remained law abiding citizens in their respective spheres of lives.
He also added that they should use their various talents to preach the message of peaceful co-existence within and outside their regions.
The Governor made this known on Thursday at the Musical Album launch of a Kogi born Musical artist Hamza Sadiq popularly called Big the Boy.
The Governor who was represented at the event by his Chief of Staff, Pharm. Abdulkareem Mohammed Jamiu stated that the album titled “Peace and Victory” was timely released at such a time when the whole nation was in need of the message of peace.
He noted that the musical piece would help to sink in the desired message of peace in the society, noting that it was quiet encouraging that youths were taking up the challenge to engage in positive ventures in the state.
The Governor affirmed that his administration would continue to give the needed attention to youths in various works of life, while he charged highly spirited individuals to support young persons in the entertainment industry so as to enable them succeed.
The artist, Hamza Sadiq, (Big D Boy)@, said the inspiration of the album “Peace and Victory” came in view of the peace Kogi State was enjoying despite the happenings in other bordering States and the recent victories of Governor Bello at the supreme Court.
Big D Boy said progress can only be attained in a peaceful society, stressing that his musical piece would go a long way at preaching peace among the various tribes in the State.
The artist appreciated Governor Bello for gracing the occasion and also commended other dignitaries, artists from within and outside the State for believing in his musical career, assuring that he would continue to work hard to step up his music and be able to compete with his counterpart on bigger stages.
