Gov Ododo Assures Continued Support for Children of Late James Onoja
The Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has paid an emotional condolence visit to the family of late Hon. James Onoja Ignatius, popularly known as Kross, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security for Idah Federal Constituency, at his residence in Apata-Ega, Igalamela-Odolu Local Government Area.
Hon. Onoja, a former Chairman of Igalamela-Odolu Local Government Area, was widely respected as a bridge-builder, grassroots mobiliser, and a firm believer in peace and unity.
Addressing the grieving family, Governor Ododo described the late aide as “a brother, friend, and loyal colleague”, whose commitment to public service and the unity of Kogi State would not be forgotten.


The Governor pledged to personally sponsor the education and welfare of the children left behind by Hon. James Onoja, assured them that their father’s legacy would continue to be honoured by the state.
Governor Ododo also visited Okene in Okene Local Government Area to commiserate with the family of Hon. Jato Onimisi Suleiman, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Tourism, over their father’s loss.
The Governor described the late Hon. Jato Onimisi Suleiman as a committed party man and dependable aide whose loyalty and service to Kogi State would be deeply missed. He prayed for the repose of his soul and urged the family to take solace in the impactful life he lived, assuring them of the government’s support and solidarity in their moment of grief.
The Chairman of Igalamela-Odolu Local Government Area Hon Cosmas Atabo Ilemona thanksed the Governor for the condolence visit and pledged the continued support of the Local Government Area to his administration
