Gov Ododo Attends Northern Governors’ Forum in Kaduna

The Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, is currently attending the meeting of the Northern Governors’ Forum and the Northern States Council of Traditional Rulers, taking place at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Kaduna.

The meeting is presided over by the Chairman of the Northern Governors’ Forum and Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya. It has in attendance the nineteen Northern Governors and Secretaries to the Governments of Northern states.

Also present is the Honourable Minister of State for Defence, His Excellency Bello Matawalle. The event is hosted by the Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani.

In attendance as well are the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar CFR, alongside Emirs of major Emirates and other first-class traditional rulers, including the Attah of Igala, His Royal Majesty Alaji Mathew Ogwuche Akpa represented by the Ejeh Ofu, His Royal Highness, Chief Akwu A Obaje.

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo is represented at the meeting by his Deputy, His Excellency Comrade Joel Salifu. And accompanied by the Director General, Kogi State Community Watch and Ancillary Matters, Hon Muhammed Nasiru Alfa.

The meeting is aimed at addressing key socio-economic and political challenges confronting the region, with particular focus on the rising insecurity and collaborative strategies to tackle it head-on.
