Gov. Ododo Flags Off Construction of Idah Township Roads

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, today officially flagged off the construction of township roads in Idah Local Government Area.

Speaking at the event, Governor Ododo expressed gratitude to the people of Kogi East for their continued support for his administration. He reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling all campaign promises made to the people of the state.

The Governor also paid tribute to his predecessor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, for laying the foundation for the developmental progress currently witnessed across Kogi State. In addition, he extended appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his consistent support, which he said has contributed greatly to the well-being and progress of the state.

Governor Ododo emphasized that the road construction project will significantly enhance infrastructure, improve transportation, and boost economic activities in Idah and surrounding communities.

“This flag-off is set to stimulate economic activities in this area. On behalf of the people of Kogi State and my entire team, I hereby flag off the internal road construction in Idah Local Government Area to the glory of God Almighty and for the benefit of mankind,” he said.

While addressing journalists, the Managing Director of the Kogi State Road Maintenance Agency (KOGROMA), Engr. Dr. Yunusa Alhassan, commended Governor Ododo for his unwavering commitment to infrastructure development. He assured residents that the project would be executed according to specifications and delivered within the stipulated timeframe.

The roads to be constructed under the project include the Igalaogba–Angwa–Inachalo Junction route, the Sabongari–St. Boniface–Ega Market Junction corridor, St. Michael–Ukwaja–St. Peter’s Road, and the Ukwaja Junction–Attah–Idah Club Road. These routes were identified as key to easing movement and unlocking economic opportunities within Idah and its environs.
