Upon his assumption into office on 27th January, 2024, the amiable Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo emphatically and boldly told Kogites that, their well-being would be of paramount priority to his young but dynamic administration, and he promised not to leave any shadow of doubts to accomplish task, and thank God, the people of the state have started seeing the new lease of life courtesy of his resourceful and pragmatic approach to leadership of the Confluence State- Kogi State.

Before his coming on board, local government workers, teachers and pensioners were flagrantly placed on various categories percentage payment, a habit that persisted for over a decade but suddenly God through Governor Ododo intervened and the old narrative is now history in Kogi State. Ododo knows and understands the real issues affecting the state and he has the magic wand to connect and to reconnect the dots.

Currently, Ododo is rebuilding the Confluence State through people -centred policies which have impacted meaningfully to all parts of the state.

As we speak,every worker in Kogi state is receiving 100% salary and same to the pensioner too as there is ongoing collection of data of civil servants for the implementation of promotion in the state civil service.

Plans are on top gear by the state government to clear all accumulated arrears of gratuities in a gradual process.
Kogites can see the depature of the present from the previous.

After the election, there was a post election litigation right from the tribunal to the Supreme Court and the governor won overwhelmingly, i call on the opposition groups to join Governor Ododo in moving the state forward as he has no enemies to fight against and neither did he inherit any as all that transpaired was a mere struggle to serve Kogites. Let us thanks Almighty Allah for granting Ododo the grace to lead the good people of Kogi State as he promised to be guided by Allah.

Having won at the Supreme Court, he has set in motion activities that will bring lasting peace, progress and development to the state as some of the ongoing projects before his emergence on 27th January,2024 have been completed while others are on going and at various stages of completion. The state Secretariat complex is having solar electricity and other renovation.

The calls for the opposition to join his government may not be for lip service as efforts are being put in motion for the genuine lovers of the state to join the governor to move the state to level of prosperity.

To boost the civil service of the state, not less than 12 permanent secretaries were appointed into the service of Kogi state government and not less than 1,200 political aides were appointed to drive the socio-political development of the state at the grass root level.

Governor Ododo is doing excellently well and needs to be encouraged to do more for the people.
