Governor Bello mourns death of Omala Traditional Ruler’s wife

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has condole the Ojogba of Ife, Chief Boniface Musa over the death of his wife, Mrs Irene Musa who died on the 22nd of December, 2019 and prayed God to grant her eternal rest and fortitude for those she left behind.

The Governor made the comment on Tuesday in Abejukolo the headquarters of Omala Local Government Area when the Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja paid the condolence visit on his behalf.

The Governor said he was in a similar situation with the traditional ruler because he is also mourning situation the loss of his elder sister, Hajiya Rabiyat Bello.

He admitted the fact that all men and all flesh must taste death, even as the manner of the demise could differ, and expressed sadness over the death of Mrs Irene just as no one can question the supremacy of the Almighty God who knows best.

The Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja, in his capacity expressed delight about the state he met the chief mourner whom he said looked stronger than thought and was far from downcast and prayed for strength for him to continue to bear the loss.

He said the Governor hoped to see Chief Musa to pay his condolences personally, and pray such a sad development went far from Omala and the state general for the time being.

Chief Onoja then prayed for peace, development and wellbeing of Nigeria, Kogi State and Omala Local Government Area in the new year 2020.

In his response, the Chief mourner and Onu – Ife, Chief Boniface Musa expressed gratitude to the Governor and his Deputy for the condolence visit and prayed God to grant all those connected with the government wisdom to pilot the affairs of the state well.

Speaking, the member representing Omala State Constituency at the State House of Assembly, Prince Collins Musa thanked the state government for its show of concern over the death and used the opportunity to also thank the present administration for its show of commitment to completing Ankpa – Omala Road Project.
