"Governor Ododo Dedicated to Advancing Development for the People", Affirms Joel Salifu »

The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Comrade Joel Salifu has said that the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is determined to bring development closer to the doorstep of the citizens of the state.

The Deputy Governor made the statement while addressing youths of Ofu Local Government who paid him a visit on Sunday 11th of August, at his country home in Ejule, Ofu Local Government Area.

The Deputy Governor emphasized the governor’s commitment to serving the Igala nation with genuine affection. He highlighted the numerous visits made by the governor to Kogi East since assuming office, aimed at engaging with the people and devising solutions to their challenges.

Joel Salifu disclosed that Governor Ododo has directed the construction of the Ejule-Allah to Achokpa road, among other infrastructural projects in Kogi East, showcasing the governor’s dedication to bringing governance within reach of the common people of the state.

The Deputy Governor urged the youths to stay united and support the current administration in the state to succeed.

Earlier in his opening remarks, Hon. Mustepha Idris mentioned that the youths from 36 villages in the area had united to bolster and endorse the leadership of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo. He expressed gratitude to the Deputy Governor for his reception and generosity.

In his speech, the immediate past Secretary to Ofu Local Government Council, Hon. Ahmed Labaran enjoined the youths to unite and stand firmly with the All Progressives Congress and the current administration, noting that their unity is key to unlocking potentials for the area.
