Gov Ododo Engages Imane District Through Zonal Security Adviser to Strengthen Community Security

In a continued effort to enhance grassroots security and public awareness, Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, through the Zonal Security Adviser for the Ankpa Federal Axis, has initiated a strategic engagement with stakeholders in Imane District, Olamaboro Local Government Area. This initiative is part of the administration’s broader commitment to a community-led approach to security.

The engagement, facilitated by the Zonal Security Adviser, brought together local leaders, vigilante groups, and residents to discuss collaborative strategies aimed at bolstering security in the region. Governor Ododo emphasized the importance of community involvement in crime prevention and the need for synergy between traditional institutions and security agencies.

“Our approach to security is inclusive. We believe that empowering local communities and ensuring they are actively involved in safeguarding their environment is key to sustainable peace,” Governor Ododo stated.

This visit aligns with the governor’s recent initiatives to strengthen security across Kogi State. Notably, the administration has launched the Metropolitan Quick Response Squad in Lokoja and other major towns, aiming to address emerging criminal activities through rapid response and collaboration with existing security agencies . 

Community leaders in Imane expressed appreciation for the governor’s proactive measures in addressing security challenges. They pledged their support in collaborating with security agencies to ensure the safety of lives and property in the district.

Governor Ododo’s engagement in Imane District, facilitated through the Ankpa Federal Axis, reflects his administration’s dedication to a participatory approach in addressing security concerns and promoting public awareness throughout Kogi State.
