The Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, today presented the report of the Ekiti State All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Primary Election to the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.
Governor Ododo, who chaired the Ekiti APC Governorship Primary Election Committee, expressed appreciation to the leadership of the party and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for entrusting him and his team with the responsibility. The Governor commended the party’s decision to adopt the consensus mode for the primary, describing it as the most peaceful and unifying approach to candidate selection.
Receiving the report on behalf of the National Chairman, the Deputy National Organizing Secretary of the APC, Dr. Chidi Duru, commended Governor Ododo for the successful conduct of the exercise. He described the Kogi State Governor as one of the party’s “star performers” who consistently delivers excellence in every assignment.
“You are undoubtedly one of our best Governors,” Dr. Duru said. “The party is proud of your leadership style and commitment to peace and fairness. We will continue to rely on Governors like you for future assignments to ensure smooth and credible processes across our states.”
He also noted that the adoption of the consensus method in selecting the party’s governorship candidate reflects a new, innovative approach that strengthens internal democracy and unity within the APC.
