Group Showers Encomium On Sen. Karimi’s Over N200m Bursary, Women Empowerment Scheme
The Kogi West Youths, Women and Former Student Leader’s Advocacy For Good Governance have passed a vote of confidence on Sen. Sunday Karimi for his recent release of N100million for students bursary across the seven local Government areas of Kogi West Senatorial District.
In a Press Conference held at the NUJ Press Centre, the group equally praised the Senator for the release of another N100million for women empowerment across the Senatorial District.
Addressing Newsmen in Lokoja, Hon Isiaka Suleiman, Hon Yussuff Bonanza and Hon. Godfrey Adekoya a Stakeholder, said the gesture by the Senator will bring great relief to parents in the payment of their children school fees, while assisting the women in their small scale businesses.
The group commended the Senator for the criteria he put in place to be used in granting out the bursary and empowerment support that will make it reach the intended beneficiaries.
“We are publicly using this medium to appreciate the Kogi West Senator for his gesture. This is unprecedented in the annals of representation in Kogi West”.
“We are also aware of all of his laudable projects that touches the lives of his Constituents. We praise him for having a listening ear to the plights of the people”.
“We commend his efforts in the rehabilitation of the Kabba-Egbe road as well as his efforts to build a security base at the entrance of Kogi West from Yagba West Local Government Area. This will enhance protection of lives and properties”.
The Kogi West Youths, Women and Former Student Leaders Advocacy For Good Governance called on the people of the Senatorial District to reciprocate the kind gesture of the quality representation thus far displayed by Sen. Karimi, pointing out that he is no doubt justifying the people’s mandate.
