GYB Death Rumour: Kogi NYCN Chairman Cautions Youths Against Spreading Fake Stories »

The Acting Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Kogi State Chapter, Comr. Osiakor Sunday, has cautioned youths of the state against the spread of false and unsubstantiated stories.

His statement follows death rumours about Governor Yahaya Bello from alleged unknown cause which was mostly spread by young people for malicious political purposes.

The Chairman stated this yesterday when he gathered jubilant youths to welcome the governor to Lokoja after several official engagements in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja where he attended to public and private meetings.

Osiakor said despite knowing that the rumors were fake all alone, he was happy that the wicked wish of death on the governor by some elements in the state didn’t come to pass. He said Governor Yahaya Bello remains the only governor in the country who has prioritize youths development and has made sure that young people are given adequate opportunity to contribute to governance, stressing that such a person doesn’t deserve death wish despite political differences. He further stated that Kogi NYCN remain absolutely proud of Yahaya Bello and would continue to wish him well.

The NYCN Acting Chairman also commended the Governor his support for the APC gubernatorial candidate of the state, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed, adding that the council under is leadership is also engaging with stakeholders to ensure massive mobilization for voters to ensure victory at the November 11 polls.

“Ododo’s election would ensure consolidation of the various youth friendly policies of the New Direction administration”, he said.
