Hafsat Alhasan Emerges First Female Senate President of NAKOSS, PAAU Chapter

Hafsat Alhasan Adami has made history after emerging as the first female Senate President of the National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS), Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, chapter.

Hafsat, a 400-level student of Political Science in the Faculty of Social Sciences, hails from Kogi/Koton Karfe Local Government Area of Kogi State.

She achieved this remarkable feat by defeating her opponent, Comrade Omoseyin Omolade, a student from the Department of Mass Communication and an indigene of Mopamuro Local Government Area of the state.

In the election, Hafsat secured an overwhelming 15 votes against Omolade’s 6 votes, a decisive victory that highlighted her popularity and the confidence the student body has in her leadership capabilities.

Her victory was widely acclaimed as a groundbreaking achievement for women in student governance and serves as a source of hope and inspiration for female students aspiring to break barriers in leadership roles across the institution.

As Senate President, Hafsat is expected to bring fresh perspectives and innovative policies to NAKOSS, PAAU chapter, focusing on inclusivity, unity, and progress for Kogi State students.
