Hon. Fanwo lauds GYB's Tremendous Achievements as Kogi Marks 32nd Anniversary of Creation »

The Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo has commended Governor Yahaya Bello (CON) for his tremendous achievements in office as the state marks its 32nd year of creation.

Hon. Fanwo made this commendation in his residence while addressing journalists.

Speaking further, Hon. Fanwo said Governor Yahaya Bello (CON) who assumed office on 27th January, 2016 has touched virtually all the sectors in the state appreciating the Governor for the construction of gigantic and well equipped hospitals in each Senatorial District of the state.

Hon Fanwo maintained that GYB has repositioned and equipped the Prince Audu Abubakar University Teaching Hospital, Anyigba (Kogi East) which would now enable the students of the university to study medicine and surgery without the phobia of accreditation. The Hon Commissioner also described the construction of the Ultramodern General Hospital Gegu-Beki (Kogi West)and the Ultramodern Reference Hospital Okene (Kogi Central) which happens to be one of the best in Nigeria as practical demonstrations of GYB’s commitment to bring quality healthcare to the people of Kogi State adding that it is a standard hospital that is well equipped with latest and uncommon equipment. ‘With this standard reference hospital, different illnesses and operations that previously required patients to be flown abroad can easily be treated right here in Kogi State and it has been regulated for easy accessibility and affordability for the citizens which will serve as a huge source of income to the state and as well increase the GDP of the nation,’the Commissioner enthused.

Hon Fanwo extolled GYB for the establishment of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara which is now in full operation and the recently established Kogi State University Kabba ,which he noted, has enabled the three Senatorial Districts of the state to have a state owned University pointing out that it has really shown how fair and equitable GYB is.

Hon Fanwo described GYB Model Science Secondary School, Adankolo, Lokoja as another massive project that has brought accolade to GYB as it has been rated as the best in the country , well equipped and has qualified teachers that would groom students to become better leaders and professionals in the future adding that similar standard secondary schools have also been built across the three Senatorial Districts of the state.

The Hon Commissioner pointed out that Ganaja Junction before the assumption of office of Governor Bello was a problematic point to the commuters as a result of hold up appreciating GYB for taking a bold step towards the construction of a standard flyover that enables free movement of the commuters.

Hon Fanwo declared that Kogi State, which used to be a hideout for criminals, is now one of the most secured states despite the fact that it is prone to insecurity and criminalities as it shares boundaries with different states, including the Federal Capital Territory congratulating the Governor on several awards for being the most security conscious Governor in Nigeria describing roads construction and buildings across the state, the Revenue House, Graphic Newspaper Office complex,PMB Civic Center etc. several roads being dualized, rehabilitated and constructed as GYB’s practical response to the aspirations of the people.

The workaholic Commissioner maintained that GYB is a unifier, a man of peace and a passionate lover of infrastructural development stressing that no Senatorial District is marginalized eulogising Governor Yahaya Bello for his massive and tremendous performance urging the people to commend and applaud all the good works he has done in the state.’ No government can finish all projects, that is why we always have successors who will always continue from where one stops,’ Hon Fanwo maintained.

The Hon. Commissioner congratulated the Governor and the entire people of Kogi State as the state marks its 32nd year of its creation urging the people of Kogi State to shun violence and embrace peace and tranquility as the Governorship Election is fast approaching appealing to Kogites to vote for Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for sustenance of GYB’s legacy projects.
