Hon. Jibril Abu Hails Ododo on New Minimum Wage

The lawmaker representing Ajaokuta Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Jibril Abu, has applauded Governor Usman Ododo for approving the new minimum wage of N72,500 for the Kogi workers.

The lawmaker in a statement on Tuesday, said Governor Ododo’s action has shown that he is a compassionate and empathic leader who cares about the welfare of the citizens.

He said this significant agreement with the organised labour reflects the governor’s profound understanding, and sensitivity to the challenges facing Kogi workers, aligning seamlessly with his New Direction Consolidation Agenda.

Abu noted that the new minimum wage would go a long way in ameliorating the plight of average kogite, stressing that the people of Ajaokuta Constituency are particularly impressed by this feat.

The lawmaker noted that oppositions have no point and target against the Consolidation government of governor Ododo, therefore the gate of the grassroot election is an avenue to decamp and support the government.

He called on the people Kogi State to continue placing their trust in the governor’s vision for more development.
