I have had the privilege of meeting and working closely with Hon Jibril Abu but I would say, I have never met a Nigerian that is as patriotic, humble and sincere in motive as Hon. Jibril Abu.” – Ohi of Ajaokuta.

I have come up repeatedly and publicly in support of a profound State Lawmaker who has a tightly packed wall of privacy that he has built around himself over the years. He plies the trade of public service quietly where others court robust publicity to announce their achievements.

The entrant of Hon Jibril Abu in Ajaokuta State Constituency heralded a new dawn for public service against the norm of public officers who patronize personal gains or self-aggrandizement. This is a No No to him.

Hon Jibril s obsession for public service is second to none. He has maintained his focus and mandate, and marched on with unwavering determination to re-position Ajaokuta State Constituency, Kogi State and indeed Nigeria better than he met it. His dedication for the transformation of the Constituency is yielding constructive, affirmative and upbeat results. He believes in the Slow and Steady adage.

The journey of effective representation started with his Together Towards Tomorrow initiative that flagged off the EducateMe, EmpowerMe & Healthcare support drives that has touched many lives respectively.

Hon. Jibril Abu has to his credit, Seven soon to be constructed Roads in Ajaokuta; Lobbying Roads such as Upake, Geregu, Eganyi-Ebiya bypass and 500 unit to Nyamanyama roads in the 2025 Budget, this include Bridges in the listed roads.

He has motioned the wheels of SUBEB in the reconciliation and rehabilitation of UBE Schools, provision of Desks for schools spanning round the State Constituency.

Youth Empowerment which he promises to be continual; Constituency Centre soon to be unveiled in Ajaokuta; the Empowernent of Young ladies inclusive of Women, licensing of Drivers, and employment of State Workers especially into The State owned institution are other credits on his name. The Security Sector and Agriculture has not had his named missing as he has recently, again, sent three persons from the Constituency to Abeokuta where they are presently learning Aeroponic and Hydroponic Farming, soon ready for organizations to hire them.

What about the purchase of JAMB forms for 100 Students ongoing, payment of Waec for the Orphans and less privileged; revival of Childrens’ Day Celebration in the Local Government Area; other trainings in the offing all to put smiles on the faces of his Constituents via EDUCATION.

The latest visit to Ajaokuta Staff Comprehensive School II where he redeemed his promise of Desktop and more revealed a lawmaker who has respect for Education, human dignity and passionate about alleviating the plight of his people regardless of age, party or religion.

From the above-listed achievements, Hon. Jibril Abu can succinctly be described as a State Lawmaker Extra-ordinaire or The Nomero Uno Lawmaker who is undoubtedly streets ahead of his contemporaries.
