Hon Mathew James Elected as Secretary, Kogi State Forum of Local Government Secretaries
In a decisive move aimed at strengthening local governance, the Kogi State Forum of Local Government Secretaries has elected a new Chairman, Secretary and other executives to lead the organization. The election, held today in a cordial atmosphere in Lokoja the state capital, saw enthusiastic participation from secretaries representing the twenty-one local government areas of the state.
The secretary of Idah LGA Transition Committee, Honourable Alhaji Alhaji, emerged as the newly elected Chairman, garnering overwhelming support from his peers. With a track record of dedication and service in his local government, Alhaji’s election signals a commitment to effective leadership within the forum.
Accompanying Alhaji Alhaji in steering the affairs of the forum is Honourable Mathew James Omeiza popularly known as “Spreading”, who secured the position of Secretary. Matthew’s expertise in administrative matters and his understanding of the intricacies of local governance are expected to be valuable assets in his new role.

Speaking after his election, The Chairman, Alhaji Alhaji expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him by his colleagues. He emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration among local government secretaries to address common challenges and achieve shared goals.
The Secretary, Mathew James echoed similar sentiments, stressing the need for cooperation and synergy among members to promote good governance practices at the grassroots level. He pledged to work diligently in facilitating communication and coordination among local government secretaries to enhance service delivery to their various local government chairmen, the Governor, Usman Ododo and citizens of Kogi State.
