The Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development in Kogi State, Hon. Aridaojo Monday Anyebe, has congratulated Professor Usman Ogbo on his appointment as the substantive Vice-Chancellor of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, describing the appointment as well-deserved and timely.

In a congratulatory message on Tuesday, Hon. Anyebe said Professor Ogbo’s emergence reflects his proven academic excellence, administrative competence, and strong commitment to the advancement of higher education. He expressed confidence that the new Vice-Chancellor would steer the university toward greater academic distinction, innovation, and global competitiveness.

According to the Commissioner, Professor Ogbo’s track record in leadership and institutional development positions him to consolidate ongoing reforms while introducing fresh ideas that will enhance teaching, research, and community engagement at PAAU.

Hon. Anyebe also commended the outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Professor Marietu Tenuche, for her impactful service and dedicated leadership, noting that her tenure recorded significant milestones in academic stability, infrastructural development, and institutional growth.

He praised Professor Tenuche for her resilience and commitment to excellence, adding that her contributions have laid a solid foundation for sustained progress at the university.
