Hon. Monday Anyebe Felicitates Christians on Palm Sunday

The Kogi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Aridaojo Monday Anyebe, has extended warm felicitations to Christians across the state and Nigeria at large on the occasion of Palm Sunday.

In a goodwill message issued on Sunday, the Commissioner described Palm Sunday as a significant moment in the Christian calendar, marking the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem and symbolizing humility, peace, and sacrifice.

He urged Christians, particularly the youth, to reflect on the virtues exemplified by Christ, including love, selflessness, and unwavering faith, noting that these values remain essential for building a harmonious and progressive society.

Anyebe emphasized the importance of peaceful coexistence and unity among citizens, calling on young people to embrace tolerance and contribute meaningfully to community development.

“As we commemorate this sacred event, I encourage our youths to imbibe the spirit of humility and service demonstrated by Christ. Let us use this period to renew our commitment to peace, unity, and nation-building,” he stated.

The Commissioner also reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to youth empowerment and development, stressing that fostering moral values and positive engagement remains key to achieving sustainable growth.

He wished Christians a fulfilling Palm Sunday celebration and a peaceful Easter season ahead.
