Idah Basket Ball Association Gets ₦500,000 Donation from Hon. Mark Okpanachi Ogah

Hon. Mark Okpanachi Ogah, a notable philanthropist and entrepreneur, has extended his support to grassroots sports development by donating ₦500,000 to the Idah Basketball Association. The donation was made during a courtesy visit by members of the association to Hon. Ogah at his hometown in Idah, Kogi State.
The delegation, led by the association’s captain and coach, Chindo Hassan, expressed gratitude for Hon. Ogah’s commitment to youth and sports development in the region. Other members present at the occasion included Arome Etuh, the team coach; Lawrence Amaje, assistant coach; and members Kasto Ogah and Abdulahi Kadri.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Ogah reiterated his passion for sports and its role in fostering youth empowerment, unity, and discipline. He encouraged the association to use the funds judiciously in advancing basketball activities, nurturing local talent, and creating opportunities for aspiring athletes to compete at higher levels.
The captain, Chindo Hassan, on behalf of the association, thanked Hon. Ogah for his generosity and assured him that the donation would significantly enhance their operations. He further emphasized the need for collaboration with stakeholders to promote sports as a means of engaging the youth positively.
