Kelvin Oluseyi Eleta Congratulates LGA Chairmen on Swearing-in, Salutes Newly Elected Councillors »

Hon. Kelvin Oluseyi Eleta, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Fraud and Internet Matters, has extended his warm congratulations to Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna on his successful swearing-in as the new Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area. He hailed the achievement as a significant milestone for the people of Ijumu and expressed his confidence in Alhaji Haruna’s leadership, which he believes will bring meaningful development to the area. He likewise felicitates with the Executive Chairman of Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area, Hon. Zacchaeus Dare Michael, and other LGA Chairmen across the state, expressing his confidence in them to perform beyond measures.

In addition to his felicitations to the new chairmen, Hon. Eleta also celebrated the 15 newly elected councillors in Ijumu LGA. He specifically acknowledged the Councillor representing Ayegunle/Iluhafon Ward, Hon. Julius Alegbejo, praising him for his dedication and commitment to the community. He then urged the new councillors to work in unison with the chairman and other stakeholders to improve the lives of the citizens of Ijumu through impactful governance.

He expressed deep appreciation to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for creating an enabling environment that facilitated a free, fair, and peaceful local government election on October 19th, 2024. He emphasized that the Governor’s commitment to democratic values was key to ensuring that the electoral process was credible and transparent.

Hon. Eleta also commended the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC) for their professionalism and the seamless conduct of the election. He lauded their efforts in upholding the integrity of the process, which allowed the people of Ijumu LGA and other Local Government Areas to freely express their choice of leadership.

He encouraged the newly sworn-in officials to remain focused and serve the people with dedication, ensuring that the promises made during their campaigns are fulfilled for the betterment of their communities.
