KGSG receives KOICA delegation, discusses synergy over NKFI
A delegation from the Korean International Corporation Agency’s (KOICA) comprising of Deputy Country Director Miss Hey Song Park and KOICA’s Abuja office manager, Miss Mavis Eta were received in Lokoja on Monday by the Kogi state Government.
Discussions amongst both parties are cantered on synergy and robust partnership succinctly in areas of Technical and vocational education advancement and particularly with regards to the Nigeria-Korea Friendship Institute.
The delegation also paid a working visit to the Nigeria-Korean Friendship Institute of Vocational and Advanced Technology (NKFI) Lokoja to conduct an on the spot assessment of facilities on ground.
During the visit to Kogi State Governor, represented by the Secretary to the state Government, Dr. Folashade Ayoade, the Deputy Country Director Miss Hey Song Park after the closed door meeting thanked the state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for appointing a substantive Rector for the Institute.
They also thanked the SSG, Commissioner for Education , Science and Technology and other stakeholders for their contribution to NKFI noting that the institute possesses great potentials for the state, the nation and west Africa by extension.
Speaking on the visitation, the Rector NKFI, Mr. Charles Williams Oluwatoyin stressed that the institute was set on motion to be effective in vocational and technical education in a bid to further empower the young population with the right education.
He added that both stakeholders of the institute have consistently shown interest in its growth and development hence people within the area should make the most of the potential the institutes portends.
