On this momentous occasion of Democracy Day, I join millions of Nigerians in commemorating the resilience, sacrifices, and collective will of our people in the pursuit and sustenance of democratic governance.
June 12 is not just a date in our history; it is a symbol of our national struggle for justice, equity, and the right of every citizen to have a voice in the affairs of our nation. It reminds us of the valiant efforts of heroes both known and unsung who stood for truth and paid the ultimate price for the democracy we enjoy today.
Here in Kogi State, under the visionary leadership of our amiable Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, we remain steadfast in our commitment to deepening democratic values, strengthening institutions, and delivering good governance that reflects the will and aspirations of the people.
As Chief of Staff to His Excellency, I salute the strong commitment of the government and the good people of Kogi State to peace, unity, and progress. Let us continue to uphold the ideals of democracy through responsible citizenship, constructive engagement, and collective action for a better tomorrow.
May the lessons of June 12 continue to guide us as we build a more inclusive, just, and prosperous Nigeria.
