Kogi Deputy Governor gives scholarship to 12 students of Millennium Christian Ministry
Kogi State Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja in his usual magnanimity has given scholarship to twelve (12) members of Millennium Christian Ministry in different higher institutions of learning.
This was announced today when the Kogi number two (2) citizen worshipped alongside other Christians in the assembly which is also referred to as My Father’s House in Lokoja, the state capital.
Chief Edward Onoja who is known for his passion in supporting young people, said ten slots of the scholarship of fifty thousand (50, 000) naira for each indigent Kogi student should spread across the nine federal constituencies, that makes the three senatorial districts, while two (2) slots are to be giving to non indigenes.
In a swift reaction, the Senior Pastor of Millennium Christian Ministry, Pastor Ayo Adun who had earlier admonished Christians to pray always for their leaders, expressed gratitude to Chief Edward Onoja for the gesture and assured that the church would ensure that the three senatorial districts are captured.
Pastor Ayo who led the congregation in prayers to God to reward the Deputy Governor for his kindness towards humanity, said the church had last year in a similar vein given out scholarships to ten (10) students in tertiary institutions to ease their pursuit of acquiring education.
