Kogi Forum of Special Advisers Kick Off Free Medical Outreach to Mark Ododo’s One-Year Anniversary
The Forum of Special Advisers to the Governor of Kogi State has commenced a three-day free medical outreach across the state’s three senatorial districts to commemorate the one-year anniversary of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
The medical outreach, which kicked off today in Ukpogoro, the governor’s hometown in Okene, Kogi Central Senatorial District, witnessed a massive turnout of beneficiaries who received free medical consultations, treatment, and medications.
Speaking to journalists at the event, the chairman of the forum who doubles as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Energy Matters, Hon. Olabode Adeyemi, described the initiative as a demonstration of Governor Ododo’s commitment to improving healthcare accessibility for the people of Kogi State. He emphasized that the outreach aligns with the administration’s vision of providing quality healthcare to all citizens, regardless of their location or financial status.
“We are here today to complement the efforts of His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, in ensuring that the people of Kogi State have access to essential medical services. This outreach is our way of giving back to the people and supporting the government’s health agenda,” Adeyemi stated.
Other Special Advisers to the Governor, who also addressed the press, reiterated their dedication to serving the people and assured that similar initiatives would continue to enhance the well-being of Kogi residents.
The Chairman of Adavi local government area, Hon. Bashiru Okatangwu, praised the forum of Special Advisers for the initiative. He hailed Governor Ododo’s one year in office office as full of impact, adding that the people of the area are appreciative of the gesture.
The free medical outreach is expected to continue tomorrow in Anyigba, Kogi East Senatorial District and conclude in the Western Senatorial District on the final day.
Residents expressed their appreciation for the initiative, describing it as timely and beneficial, especially for those who have limited access to healthcare services.
The ongoing medical outreach forms part of a series of activities planned to celebrate Governor Ododo’s first year in office, highlighting his administration’s focus on healthcare, education, and infrastructure development across the state.
