Butchers' Association Endorses APC's Ododo for Kogi guber poll »

The Kogi State chapter of Butchers Association of Nigeria under the aegis of Progressive Youth Butchers Association has joined the league of numerous interest groups that have endorsed the candidacy of Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman and Comrade Joel Oyibo Salifu ahead of the Governorship Election slated to hold on the 11th of November 2023.

The butchers’ association made their decision to support the All Progressives Congress (APC) known when its delegation met with Comrade Yakubu Siyaka Adabenege in Lokoja.

While speaking at the meeting, the group through its spokesperson, Comrade Mahmoud Muhammad stated that their decision to unanimously endorse the APC and its candidate ahead of the gubernatorial election was hinged on the obvious incontrovertible fact that Governor Yahaya Bello’s led administration has achieved greatly in areas of security, infrastructural development, human capital development, education amongst others.

The visibly elated butchers who revealed that they are the immediate beneficiaries of security stability engendered by the New Direction administration said their business witnessed an unprecedented boom in the last four years and would like to have a continuation of such feats through Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman.

“No business can thrive amidst wanton insecurity. Governor Yahaya Bello, in the last seven (7) years, has exhibited maximum political will to defeat agents of crime and criminalities across the state. This has had positive impacts on our businesses, and we have decided to reciprocate such a gesture through the adoption of Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman as our only governorship candidate in the November 11 governorship poll,” he said.

The Chairman of the association, Mallam Danladi Ibrahim Isah, who, on behalf of other members donated some campaign souvenirs in further solidarity with the APC Governorship Candidate, noted that they are keenly interested in the consolidation and continuity blueprint of Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman especially when compared to other opposition candidates who he said could not expressly tell the people of Kogi State about their plans if they have the opportunity of governing the state.

In his response, Comrade Siyaka Yakubu Adabenege, popularly known as Fancy, commended the delegation for their sincere support while assuring them of Alhaji Ododo/Joel’23 Consolidation and Continuity on the gains and achievements of Governor Yahaya Bello led administration.

He admonished them to remain focused and committed to the Kogi Agenda just as he reiterated that the incoming administration of Alhaji Ododo/Joel’23 would not disappoint the good people of Kogi State.

“Alhaji Ododo is not a diaspora politician. He has been around and knows how to build on the firm foundation that his principal, Governor Yahaya Bello, has in the last seven (7) year’s laid. He will carry on with the sound security legacy that Governor Yahaya Bello is known for,”
he assured.
