Kogi govt directs schools to resume Monday

The Kogi State Government has directed all schools to resume for normal academic activities on Monday 13th of March, 2023.

In a statement issued by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Alhaji Yakubu Dele Musa on Thursday and made available to InsideStory stated that the resumption was as approved by the Commissioner, Hon. Wemi Jones.

“With reference to our earlier directive dated 20 of March, 2023 for Schools to close down for the general elections, I have been directed to inform you that the resumption date as earlier announced remains the same.

All Basic and Secondary Schools in the state will resume for normal academic activities on Monday 13th of March, 2023. Boarding School Students are to resume on Sunday 12 March, 2023.

Additionally, to make up for the three (3) weeks lost during the General elections, the Ministry has adjusted the third term resumption date for Basic and Secondary Schools in the state to 24th of April, 2023 instead of 8th of May, 2023 as earlier circulated.

All Schools Administrators, Proprietors and Principals are kindly requested to adhere strictly to these directives,
