Kogi Govt Invites Youths to Dialogue On Roles in Nation Building
- as commissioner urge youth to make the most of opportunities
Kogi state government has invited youths from all across the state to engage in a crucial dialogue on their roles in nation building and how they could be encouraged to harness the incredible potential of youth and providing them with the necessary knowledge, inspiration needed to contribute meaningfully to the development of our state and nation.
In a press conference on Tuesday addressed by the Kogi State Commissioner for youths and sport development, Hon. Monday Aridaojo Anyebe hinted that the two-day event scheduled to hold on 31st of July and 1st of August, is not only crucial to the development of Kogi state but also pivotal in shaping the future of our nation.
He said that the State government, through the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, is proud to present the Youth Engagement Summit, themed “ROLE OF NIGERIAN YOUTH IN NATION BUILDING: Unlocking Potential, Empowering the Future.”
The Commissioner said “In today’s world, the role of youth in nation-building cannot be overstated. They are the backbone of our society, the innovators, the dreamers, and the leaders of tomorrow. This summit aims to harness the incredible potential of our youth, providing them with the necessary knowledge and inspiration needed to contribute meaningfully to the development of our state and nation”.
He added that as a government that is passionate about youth development through inclusiveness, the Youth Engagement Summit would be a platform for young people from diverse backgrounds to come together, share ideas, and engage in discussions on critical issues facing our society.
Hon. Monday said that the summit have lined up a series of workshops, panel discussions, and keynote speeches by distinguished speakers who are leaders in their fields. These sessions will cover topics such as entrepreneurship, leadership, civic engagement, and sustainable development, among others, he added.
The Commissioner said the goal of the Consolidation Administration of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is to empower the youth by unlocking their potential. We believe that by providing them with the right opportunities and resources, they can become agents of positive change. This summit is not just an event; it is a call to action. It is an invitation for every young person in Kogi State to step up and play an active role in the development of our community and country.
He also announced that the event would feature a showcase of young talents in various fields, including technology, arts, sports, and more stating that it will not only emphasize the diverse talents of our youth but also encourage them to pursue their passions and dreams.
The commissioner extended gratitude to the governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo who have made the summit possible adding that his commitment to the development of our youth and the future of our state is truly commendable.
