Kogi Govt Mourns Passing of Justice Yahaya Adamu
The Kogi State Government has expressed deep sorrow over the death of a High Court judge, Hon. Justice Yahaya Adamu, describing his passing as a significant loss to the state’s judiciary and legal community.
In a statement issued on Saturday by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, the government said the late jurist was widely respected for his unwavering commitment to justice, integrity, and the rule of law.
According to the statement, Justice Adamu served as a distinguished pillar of the Kogi State judiciary until his demise, earning admiration for his contributions to the administration of justice across the state.
The government also noted that during his illness, efforts were made to ensure he received the best possible medical care, but his death has left a profound void in the judiciary, his family, and the state at large.
Reacting to the development, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo described the late judge as “a reputable voice in the temple of justice,” adding that his wealth of experience, wisdom, and dedication to fairness would be greatly missed.
The governor further stated that Justice Adamu’s legacy of service and commitment to justice would continue to inspire generations within the legal profession.
The Kogi State Government extended its condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, the state judiciary, and all those affected by his passing, praying for the repose of his soul and comfort for the bereaved.
