Calls for investigation, arrest, prosecution of culprits

The All Progressive Congress have described the recent rally of the Social Democratic Party, where according to the party an harmless APC female supporter was gruesomely killed by alleged thugs loyal to Mr. Muri Ajaka as a satanic ambush on the people off Kogi- Koto karfe.

During a press address, the Spokesperson and Director, Media and Publicity, Kogi APC Governorship Campaign Council, Kingsley Femi Fanwo said that it was on record that the SDP candidate said that the State Commissioner of Police was not aware of the party’s rally, hence the political event was a an ambush on the peace loving people of KKF, leaving in its wake the blood of an innocent woman, whose only sin was belonging to the APC.

The APC campaign spokesperson said that in the usual pattern of the SDP candidate through his media handlers they had claimed the poor woman was bearing arms, but refused to show the arm she was bearing. He noted that such claim was a desperate attempt at sweeping the murder they committed under the carpet adding that the killing of the innocent woman because she held a contrary belief to theirs was crude, criminal and callous.

While the party commiserated with family of the deceased and the entire people of Kogi Koton-Karfee LGA, it called on security agencies to ensure that those who made threats to kill on National Television and seemingly fulfilled same have undoubtedly declared war on the Nigerian state which was responsible for protecting the poor victim.

The party’s spokesperson called on the supporters of the APC to remain calm as security operatives were trusted to ensure that killers don’t walk freely without consequences, stressing that the Kogi State APC Campaign Council were awaiting the full reports of the security
agencies.

‘’The initial statement of the Police authorities have been reassuring. There must be justice for the murdered soul. It is high time Kogites called the blood-sucking campaign of the SDP to order. Elections are won on the ballot and not via the bullet. Even in the face of glaring provocation, our party and our campaign will remain peaceful and play according to the rules of the game’’

‘’We salute the people of Kotonkarfe for their perseverance and calm in the face of an unprovoked invasion and murder.
We assure you of justice. The murdered won’t die in vain. Muritala Yakubu Ajaka must pay for the blood of the innocent woman’’. He added

Mr. Fanwo mentioned that the candidate of the APC, Ahmed Usman Ododo has remained uncompromisingly committed to issue based campaign devoid of violence, ethnocentric narratives or divisive tendencies adding that under the leadership of the campaign chairman, Gov. Yahaya Bello and the Director General, Prince Shaibu Audu, the party’s campaign has been peaceful, uniting and a true reflection of the enduring legacies that have kept our party at the Apex of political performance in our dear state.

He added that the party’s candidate, Ahmed Usman Ododo through an issue based campaign, wants the people to be convinced by the legacies of the system he served in, his promises of continuity, his antecedents and competence as well as his message of unity stressing that his cleave to these ideal is iron cast.
