The Asuku Women Political Network for Ododo paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor, Pharm. Abdulkareem Muhammed Jamiu Asuku at his official residence in Lokoja the Kogi State capital.
The women who came in their large number were led by their President, Hajiya Fatima Allah-Dey.
Hajiya Allah-Dey said the visit was to thank Pharm. Asuku for donating operational office to the group and to intimate him on the progress reports so far.
She hinted that the group has inaugurated ward executives and have launched the “Tell-One-To-Tell-Ten campaign across political wards in Lokoja and Kogi local government areas respectively, adding that the primary objective of the group is to ensure massive mobilization of voters for the victory of the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman.
The President said the job was made easy due to the numerous support they’ve received from the Chief of Staff who doubled as the grand patron of group.
In his remarks, Pharm. Asuku appreciated the group’s President, Hon. Fatima Allah-Dey for the ability to mobilise support for the All Progressive Congress and it Governorship candidate, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo. The Chief of Staff equally appropriated the various leadership structure of the group for the synergy and harmony in driving their agenda to the grassroots.
Pharm. Asuku further stressed that the victory of the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo in the November 11th Kogi Governorship election is non-negotiable, noting that with the strategic grassroots sensitization deployed by the ruling party, the APC will come out victorious at the poll.
He further thanked the leadership of the group for the visit and urged them to continue to do more for the party ahead of the governorship election slated for November 11th 2023.
