Kogi Guber: Ibaji Council Chairman Hosts Traditional Rulers, Canvasses Support for Ododo
Royalties in Ibaji Local Government Area of Kogi State converged on Onyedega, the headquarters of the local government at the instance of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Williams Iko-Ojo.
The meeting, according to the chairman was to discuss the forthcoming governorship election and the need for stakeholders in the area to unite behind the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Usman Ododo.
The council boss expressed confidence that Ododo is the candidate to beat in the election stressed that he is vastly experienced in governance and has the passion to unite and develop the state by consolidating on the achievements of governor Yahaya Bello.
He said, Ibaji local government have enjoyed unmatched security of lives and property with massive inclusiveness in governance under the administration of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello, adding that they must position themselves well to be able to gain more from the Ododo administration.
“The Ododo’s mandate is a square peg in a square hole as it will consolidate on the enviable selfless service rendered thus far by the current administration and Ibaji will not be left behind,” he said.
The Chairman assured the royal fathers of Ododo’s excellent leadership temperament as proven over time in various leadership roles. His soft spot for excellence and courage to do what is generally beneficial is a gift the people must hold dear. He equally calls on the royals for a team work in partnership for the realization of Ododo’s mandate.
The royal fathers on their part expressed confidence on the direction of the chairman and promised to play their fatherly roles in ensuring a better Ibaji and Kogi State at large.
