Kogi guber: Kabba-Bunu APC receives over 200 decampees from PDP, ADC

The leadership of the All progressives Congress (APC) in Kabba-bunu on Sunday witnessed an influx of members from PDP and ADC into the party with their supporters.

The defectors were received by the Kabba-Bunu APC Chairman, Hon. Elisha Olorunmosunle along side, the Administrator of Kabba-Bunu, Hon. Funsho Olorunfemi and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Funsho Jetro in Okedayo-Kakun ward.

Among the defectors are; Hon. Fred Ayenale a former leader of ADC, Hon. Dele Ajigi also a leader in ADC, Hon Felicia Adebayo, the women leader of ADC, Hon. Otitolaye Solomon.

Others are Segun Abogunde, Funsho David, Victor Olorunmola, Isemilola Femi, Tuku Friday all members of PDP and their supporters.

In his remarks, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Lands, Hon. Funsho Jetro said Governor Yahaya Bello deserves a second term in office considering his efforts in rebuilding a better Kogi State from the maladministration it suffered hitherto.

According to him, Governor Bello’s government more than previous administrations has empowered young citizens and given them a chance to contribute to the development of the state.

Hon. Jetro emphasized on the need for the people of Kabba-bunu to totally support the re-election of the governor in appreciation of the opportunity he gave to sons and daughters of Kabba-Bunu to hold relevant positions in his cabinet.

In their separate remarks, the APC Chairman in Kabba-Bunu, Hon Elisha Olorunmosunle and the Administrator of the Local Government, Hon. Funsho Olorunfemi expressed joy on the decision of the defectors to join APC.

While stressing their readiness to deliver victory to Governor Bello in the November 16th governorship election, they assured the new members of being carried along in the scheme of things.

Also speaking at the occasion was a former Chairman of Kabba-Bunu LGA, Hon Funsho Olorunfemi who said Governor Bello was unbeatable, advised them to hold tight to the governor’s campaign train.

Speaking on behalf of the new members, the major defector, Hon. Fred Ayenale said their decision to join the party was out of their love for Governor Bello and their believe in his capacity to win the coming election.
