Kogi Guber: Richard Osaseyi pledges to support NYCN campaign structure for Ododo

The Kogi State chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) under the leadership of Comrade Osiako Sunday seems to be attracting the necessary fellowships aimed at bettering the lots of the council and the generality of Kogi State youths as her drives to partner relevant stakeholders on projects appears to be yielding positive results.
The latest being the proposed partnership with Hon. Richard Osaseyi, the Managing Director, Kogi State Signage and Advertisement Agency who is also the Chairman of Osaseyi Foundation.
Mr. Rechard Osaseyi during his visit to the Kogi Youth House in Lokoja on Tuesday, commended the Acting Chairman, Comr. Osiako Sunday and his executive members for their efforts in repositioning the NYCN. He sought partnership with the youth council in collaboration with the Ministry of Education to give scholarship to over all best student in Mathematics and Sciences from each of the public secondary school in Kogi State.
Osaseyi said, using his Foundation, he has been involved in promoting access to education through the payment of school fees to students in public schools especially in Kogi West Senatorial district, adding that he seeks the partnership of the Osiako led Kogi NYCN to achieve a broad and more comprehensive scholarship scheme for best students across the state.
Osaseyi also urged the council to look into partnering with relevant stakeholders in establishing an ICT at the youth house where young people can receive training in coding, computer applications and others to become skilled and self reliant, expressing his readiness to partner with the council in this regards.
APC chieftain further praised the council for declaring support for the APC governorship candidate, Alhaji Usman Ododo, stressing that it was the right decision in that Ododo is a product of the New Direction government who is commited to consolidating the youths friendly and other developmental policies and programs of governor Yahaya Bello.
He promised to renovate the dilapidated tennis and basketball courts in the youth house as part of his contributions to making the place more active and befitting, and pledged to support the Kogi NYCN campaign structure for Ododo/Joel 2023 campaigns.
Reacting, the Acting Chairman of Kogi NYCN, Comr. Osiako Sunday appreciated Mr. Osaseyi for the visit. He praised his decision to support the council in upgrading its facilities and establishing a computer center, adding that the gesture was in line with his mandate of repositioning Kogi NYCN.
Osiako said the Kogi NYCN under his leadership acknowledges the numerous accomplishments of the governor Yahaya Bello’s administration and how he has impacted on the lives of young people across the state, reason the council decided to throw its weight behind the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Ododo Usman to ensure consolidation.
He said Ododo has overtime demonstrated his love for education and youth development, expressing confidence that he would do more to develop Kogi state if elected as governor. He praised Mr. Osaseyi for his numerous contributions to the Ododo/Joel campaign across the state, and assured that the NYCN would maximize the opportunity of having on board to spread the scope of its campaigns.
