Kogi guber: SDP allegations baseless — Police Commissioner
Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Berthrand Onuoha, has debunked allegations of partiality by the opposition Social Democratic Party, SDP, in the State.
He said the party is undermining his authority as the Commissioner of Police by not following due process in their request nor honouring a series of invitations by the command.
He stated this in Lokoja on Tuesday while reacting to questions from newsmen on the recent allegations by the SDP of not providing adequate security for its activities.
According to him, his doors are open to all political parties who follow due process for security cover during their campaigns.
On the forthcoming gubernatorial election, he warned against any acts by the political actors capable of breaching the peace of the State.
He called on the people of Kogi State to be vigilant and law-abiding and move about their activities lawfully as the command is recording more successes in its fight against criminal elements.
