Kogi Infrastructure: Works Commissioner urges contractors to expedite action on project completion
In quest to ensure that projects are completed in record time in accordance to the desires of governor Yahaya Bello, the Commissioner for Works and Housing Hon. Samson Bako has urged the contractors handling Kogi Jobs to expedite action as such is the only way the Governor can be pleased.
Bako in an unscheduled visit to various project sites across the state today stressed the need for contractors to deliver their jobs before the expiration of the Governor’s tenure in office.
Bako who expressed some measure of satisfaction with the pace of work currently ongoing at the Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara also admonished other contractors to emulate Musalib Nig. Ltd and CCECC Construction Company.
In his word ” I am once again here and you could see that my countenance is a bit better than my previous visit, this is to show you that slight improvements were seen but still not enough. What we want is the completion of these projects and making it set for my principal to commission before exciting the office”
He further added that, only what he saw was little improvement as the job level met today was till below expectation.
At the GYB model School in Okehi, the Site Supervisor of Musalib Nig. Ltd Engr Ibrahim Abdulazeez promised to get the project ready for commissioning in the next two months as he has accomplished almost 90% of his job.
The commissioner directed less-performing contractors to meet him in his office with their Bill of Engineering Measurement and Evaluation for review.
He finally told the contractors that he would revisit the site before the end of this month
