Kogi Mining Licence: Okuntimo Commends Gov Ododo’s Commitment to Economic Diversification
The Managing Director of Meena Technology Nigeria, Mr. Imole Okuntimo, has commended the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for securing mining licences and procuring mining equipment to boost the state’s economy.
Mr. Okuntimo expressed satisfaction with the administration’s commitment to economic recovery through revenue diversification. He praised the government for adopting sustainable practices in the mining sector, enhancing mine planning through the use of technology, and proactively addressing environmental and social impacts associated with mining activities.
He also acknowledged the efforts of the Commissioner for Solid Minerals, Engr. Bashir Gegu, for spearheading what he described as a highly significant initiative.
“Kogi State is home to over thirty known mineral resources. We cannot afford to leave them unharnessed,” Mr. Okuntimo stated.
He further extended his appreciation to the people of Kogi State for their continued support and prayers for Governor Ododo’s administration. Mr. Okuntimo also reaffirmed the commitment of Meena Technology Nigeria to support the state government’s drive toward economic diversification and ensuring it delivers tangible benefits for the people.
