Kogi PDP suffers setback as party Chairman, Ward Youth, Women leaders, 1000 other members join APC
The Kogi State Commissioner For Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr. Bashiru Gegu has said that the Peoples Democratic Party in Kogi LGA has witnessed total demolition.
The Commissioner made the disclosure following the defection of the PDP Chairman in Kogi LGA, Hon Ibrahim Saidu who defected to APC with some of Ward Youth leaders, women leaders, other excos and 1000 members of PDP who joined him to the ruling All Progressives Congress.
The PDP Chairman said his defection and others was informed by the GYB leadership style, disclosing that it is second to none.
“GYB has touched the lives of Kogi State citizens positively. Engr Bashir Gegu is a true Democrats that is open minded and has influenced dividends of democracy to his people through hardwork and loyalty”.
“APC has a sellable candidate while PDP has opposite of APC gubernatorial candidate in terms of character”.
“We are out to add value to what Gov. Yahaya Bello is doing”, according to Hon Saidu Ibrahim.
Speaking, Engr Bashir Gegu appreciated the defectors for seeing the light in Gov. Bello and the APC, promised them equal rights and placements with the APC members.
