Kogi Signage Agency directs removal of all outdoor political signage materials
The Kogi State Signage and Advertisment Agency has issued a notice to all political parties in Kogi State who participated in the just concluded gubernatorial election to as a matter of utmost urgency remove all billboards, posters and banners used during campaigns.
In a statement signed by the Managing Director of KOSAA, Hon. Richard Osaseyi, and made available to journalists in Lokoja, he said “in line with Schedule 1, Section 27(2)(2) of the Kogi State Signage and Advertisment Law, 2022, all political materials are to be taken down not later than ten(10) days after the event.”
The agency said everyone affected by this notice is urged to comply with this directive on or before the 29th day of November, 2023, stressing that after the expiration of this notice, all sign posts, billboards, posters and banners will be removed at the cost of the defaulting party or owner.
The General Manager of the Agency, Hon. Osaseyi Richard urged all political parties to comply strictly with this directive as defaulters will be made to face the consequences of their actions.
